Psychotherapy, or therapy, refers to a variety of techniques and
methods, usually involving talking, used when someone is experiencing
emotional difficulties. Although there are different types of
psychotherapy, each relies on communication as the basic tool for
bringing about change in a person's feelings and behaviors.
Tana's brand of therapy is grounded in cognitive behavioral and reality therapy.
She believes that all people can benefit from having an objective and
connected person to share thoughts and frustrations with. The simple,
yet brave, act of talking to another who's got your best interest in
mind can be empowering and life changing. You and the therapist work together on
helping your life become more your life. Personal growth is an
ongoing journey on which we can learn something new about ourselves and
others. It's an experience we can all benefit from.
